Combined Science tuition, built around your child
Combined Science compresses two full science subjects into a single, more compact syllabus, which sounds easier but actually demands efficient study habits: there's less time spent per topic than in Pure Science, so gaps compound quickly if a concept isn't caught early. Students taking Physics/Chemistry or Chemistry/Biology need to move between two very different ways of thinking within the same subject.
We teach each science component in Combined Science with the same rigour as the Pure Science equivalent, just paced to the compressed syllabus, so students get real understanding rather than a shallower version of the content. Whichever combination your child takes, we structure lessons around the specific topics their combined paper actually covers.

Questions about Combined Science
Can't find what you need? We're happy to answer directly.
Ask on WhatsAppWhat's the difference between Combined Science and Pure Science?
Combined Science covers two subjects, for example Physics and Chemistry, at a slightly reduced depth within a single combined syllabus, while Pure Science covers each subject in full as a separate subject. We also offer dedicated Pure Science tuition.
Can you teach just one component of my child's combination?
Yes, if your child only needs support in Chemistry or Physics/Biology specifically, we can focus there. Many students only need help with one weaker component.
Is your Combined Science tuition centre near Bedok MRT?
Yes. House of Hows is located at 214 Bedok North Street 1, #01-173, inside Bedok Town Centre and a short walk from Bedok MRT.
What is the class size?
We keep classes to 6–10 students so every child gets personal attention while still benefiting from group discussion.
Do you teach Pure Sciences too?
Yes. We offer dedicated Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry and Pure Biology tuition as well.
How are Combined Science classes structured?
Typically once a week per component, with additional intensive sessions and past-paper practice in the months leading up to O Levels.
